Anywhere a guardrail has to have a gap in it. The common ones are the top of a fixed ladder onto a platform or mezzanine, the opening in a walkway guardrail, the access point to a roof from a ladder or hatch, and the entrance to a demarcated area around machinery or a loading edge. In each case the hazard is the same: a gap that someone has to remember to close. A spring loaded gate removes the remembering.
Three gate types, each in galvanised or powder coated safety yellow. Every gate can be cut down on site to suit the opening, and all fit to FastClamp® tube and fittings as well as to existing structures.
Three questions settle it. How wide is the opening? A single gate covers a standard walkway or ladder opening and can be cut to size; a double gate covers wider gaps. How high is the surrounding guardrail? Match the gate to it, and use the full height gate where the barrier itself is full height or where the area is being demarcated rather than edge protected. Indoor or outdoor? Galvanised suits both; powder coated yellow adds visibility where the gate marks a hazard.

A housed spring returns the gate to the closed position after each use. The user pushes through, the spring closes the gate behind them, and the opening is protected again without anyone having to remember to close it.
Fit the gate so it opens away from the drop or hazard, towards the person approaching it, and closes back against a stop. Our technical team can confirm the hinge and stop arrangement for your opening.
