Thanks to its modular design, our rooftop walkway can easily accommodate the additional guardrails. They can be installed on either side of the walkway or on both sides.
When guardrails are installed on both sides of the roof walkway, the system can be used as a collective fall protection.

A roof walkway does two jobs. It gives the people who have to be on the roof a defined, level, non slip route, and it keeps them off the parts of the roof that will not take them: fragile rooflights, standing seam sheet, membrane that the roof warranty depends on. The typical brief is a route from the access point to the plant that needs maintaining, with changes of level and pitch handled by steps and traverse sections rather than by people climbing.
The walkway is modular. Non slip treads sit on supports matched to the roof construction, so a standing seam roof, a trapezoidal sheet and a flat membrane each get the right support detail. Step sections and traverse sections take the route across changes in level and pitch. Guardrail can be added on one side or both, built from FastClamp® tube and fittings, which turns the walkway into a collective fall protection route where the edge is close. Everything is assembled with a hex key: no welding, no hot work on the roof.
Send us a roof plan or aerial view with the route marked, the roof construction, the pitch, and photographs of the access point and the plant. Our technical team returns a layout drawing and a parts list, and puts you in touch with a UK distributor to supply it. Yes. The supports are matched to the roof construction, and standing seam roofs use a support that clamps to the seam rather than fixing through it. Tell us the roof construction and we will confirm the support detail.
The system is designed for roofs from flat up to 35 degrees, using step and traverse sections as the pitch increases. Confirm the pitch when you enquire so the sections can be specified.
Guardrail on one or both sides turns the walkway into a collective fall protection route. Whether it is needed depends on how close the route runs to an unprotected edge and on the duty holder’s own assessment. Our team can advise on what the system supports for your route.
FastClamp supplies through UK distributors; installation is arranged by your distributor or your own contractor. The system is modular and assembled with a hex key, with no welding on the roof.
