Pallet Gates supplied by FastClamp have been designed to be installed on the edge of mezzanine floors, to provide safe access for factory and warehouse workers who are responsible for loading and unloading pallets.
Our gates are fully adjustable in width and are available in a variety of sizes and finishes to suit your space. The range is easy to install or retro-fit to guardrails and barriers where openings need to be protected. Each gate is counterbalanced for a positive open and close action, adding to the gate’s ease of operation.
The mezzanine pallet gates from FastClamp are complaint with BS EN ISO 14122 Part 3 & Part 4.
Our gates are available in five different sizes, two types of materials (either steel or aluminium) and two finishes (galvanised or powder coated).
The gates are modular and are supplied part assembled for ease of on-site installation. Any damage can be easily repaired, keeping the gate operational at all times.
Our mezzanine gates were tested for hinge mechanism durability and weather resistance and comply with UK & EU standards.
A mezzanine loading edge is the one place on the floor where the guardrail has to come away. A chain, a drop bar or a removable rail relies on someone putting it back. A pallet gate does not. It pivots so that one side is always closed: the loading side opens to accept the pallet from the forklift, the floor side stays shut, and the gate then swings over to let the operator collect the load with the loading edge closed behind it. The opening is never unguarded.
That is why pallet gates are the standard answer for mezzanine floors, loading bays and any raised level where goods move up and down by forklift, stacker or hoist.
Five models cover the common opening widths and load heights. Every gate is available galvanised or powder coated, and each is counterbalanced so it opens and closes with a positive action.
The gates are supplied part assembled and are designed to retrofit to existing guardrails and barriers, so an opening that is currently protected by a chain or a drop bar can be upgraded without rebuilding the edge. Assembly uses FastClamp tube and fittings, so no welding and no drilling into the structure. To size a gate you need three measurements: the clear width of the opening, the height of the tallest load that will pass through it, and the depth of clear floor behind the edge for the gate to swing.
FastClamp® pallet gates are supplied through UK distributors. Send the three measurements above, the number of openings and the finish you want to our technical team and we will confirm the model and put you in touch with a stockist. The full range is in the FastClamp catalogue. For the background on how gates change mezzanine safety, read how pallet gates improve safety in warehouses.
Measure the clear opening width and the height of the tallest load that will pass through. The Standard model suits a single pallet opening; the Tall Pallet model gives extra headroom for stacked loads; the Extra Wide model takes double pallets. If the opening is unusual, send the measurements to our technical team and we will confirm the model.
Yes. The gates are designed to fit to existing guardrails and barriers where an opening needs protecting, and are supplied part assembled to keep installation time down.
Both are available on every steel model. Galvanised is the standard finish for corrosion resistance; powder coated safety yellow makes the gate and the edge more visible in a busy warehouse.
Yes. The gate pivots so that one side is always closed. When the loading side is open to accept the pallet, the floor side is shut; when the operator opens the floor side to collect the load, the loading edge is closed behind it.
